2008 Nobel Prize in Chemistry This is a great video overview of the development of the Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) Gene. Although the particular GFP gene shown in this video is not used in our fish, the fluorescent protein genes in our fish are relatively comparable and work in a very similar way as the GFP gene.
